The highlight for Advocate last year was its involvement with the Jessica June Foundation and the “Share the Joy” Corporate Program. Advocate sponsored a four year old girl, Ka'mya, who was battling kidney Cancer. This was a rewarding experience for the entire staff as they were able to throw her a surprise party at the office and Ka’mya and her family received gifts and donations to assist the family in their trying times. Enough money was raised to pay rent, FPL and other basic necessities for two months. Advocate is still in contact with Ka’mya and her family and looks forward to sponsoring another underprivileged family with a child who is fighting cancer, this spring.
